The Minnesota Twins and the Milwaukee Brewers square off in game two of their three game set from Miller Park in MLB action on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Twins will be eager to get a win after losing four straight and nine of their last 11 games following a 6-5 loss in the series opener on Monday. Robbie Grossman led the Twins by going 2 for 4 with a grand slam while Brian Dozier added an RBI as well in the loss. Willians Astudillo, Max Kepler and starting pitcher Kyle Gibson each had two hits while Joe Bauer added a double and Eddie Rosario added a base hit as well in the losing effort. Gibson gave up four runs, three earned, on eight hits while striking out three over 3.2 innings of work. Fernando Rodney received his 4th blown save of the season while Zack Littell took the loss to fall to 0-1 this season. Jake Odorizzi will start game two and is 3-5 with a 4.62 ERA and 88 strikeouts this season. In his career, Odorizzi is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Brewers (49-35) host the Minnesota Twins (35-46) on Tuesday at 1:10 PM PDT. This is the 2nd game in a 3-game series. The Brewers won their last game against the Twins 6-5. The Brewers had 14 hits, 4 walks, 1 home run, and had 24 left on base. Twins had 11 hits, 0 walks, 1 home run, and had 16 left on base.

Right handed pitcher, Junior Guerra, will get the start for the Brewers. Guerra comes into this game with an ERA of 3.05, and is 4-5 on the season. Junior has struck out 80 batters this season and is averaging a 1.2 WHIP. He’ll matchup against the Twins’s Right handed starter, Jake Odorizzi. He has averaged a 4.62 ERA with 3 wins, 5 losses and 88 strikeouts on the season.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to build some steam after their series opening win on Monday. Brad Miller led the Brew Crew with two RBIs, going 3 for 5 while Manny Pina hit a solo home run and Jesus Aguilar and Travis Shaw each added an RBI to the winning cause as well. Eric Thames went 2 for 4 while Keon Broxton added a double. Ryan Braun, Jonathan Villar, Taylor Williams and starting pitcher Brent Suter each contributed a base knock as well in the winning effort. Brent Suter gave up all five runs on nine hits while striking out five over five innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Corey Knebel picked up the win to improve his record to 2-0 this season. Junior Guerra will start game two and is 4-5 with a 3.05 ERA and 80 strikeouts this season. This will be Guerra’s second career start against Minnesota.

Minnesota is 2-9 in their last 11 games overall and 2-5 in Odorizzi’s last 7 starts while the over is 18-7-4 in their last 29 games against the NL Central. Milwaukee is 7-2 in their last 9 home games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 in their last 5 games against the AL Central while the over is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games overall. The over is 21-10-5 in the last 36 meetings between these two teams.

The Twins just can’t buy a win right now and just keep finding creative ways to lose baseball games, including a walk-off walk on Monday. Milwaukee on the other hand keeps finding ways to win and just are the more consistent and better team here. I’ll lay the juice with the Brewers to push for the sweep on Wednesday.
